  • sqllite browser can only browse in memory?

I tried to open a 883 MB sqlite file. sqlitebrowser goes off forever trying to do this and apparently is using 1.8GB of RAM, and another 1GB of swap. I take it this means sqlite browser is trying to get the whole db into RAM. Is this right? Obviously then this program is only useful for small databases. This seems like a very poor design decision that makes it all but useless for many...

  • Trying to add new record but always get error

Hello, Using sqlitebrowser 1.3-2.2 from Ubuntu repo on Ubuntu 9.04. I've tried several many times to add a new database record but always get a popup error message saying "Make sure a table is selected". I am in the Browser tab and have definitely chosen a table. I'm looking at a view of 581 records. I can't figure out why on earth this is giving this non-sensical message. The Log...

  • Set System Proxy values or run script

It would be very useful if starting / stopping a proxy could also update the gconf system proxy values used by many apps. This could be done using gconftool in a script triggered by start / stop of proxy Even better since gstm has the values it could update them directly. It would need a check box option to enable that function. And then a few calls to gconftool to set the /system/proxy and...

  • Followup: RE: Recent list on tray icon - improvement?

Database name? No, I'm talking about the list of recently used account /passwords. For items you commonly use you don't have to open the window and find the account and then dbl-click. The idea is great - it's on the tray icon. I just see it an opportunity to make it quicker and there is not any function assigned to single click on the tray icon right now. Chris :)

  • Recent list on tray icon - improvement?

I like the idea of having a recent list on the tray icon. But -in my opinion- the implementation of this here is a bit annoying. Why right click and then another menu item to get to it? That's a contorted access path to something that would nice if it were just "handy". Is there a security reason to make it hard to get at? You're not using the single left click on the tray icon at...

  • Move Group to Top level - Trick?

It seems there is no way to drag a group into the top level - although it's easy to drag a top level group into another group. I was editing some entries after just upgrading from v 2.1 and due to how slowly theprogram now respond I accidentally dragged a top level group and it got released in some random place. Found it again in another group. But can find no way to get it back to top level.....

  • Followup: RE: Display options not saved after exiting

I am also having trouble with this. I just moved up from using V 2.11 for a couple years. Now I'm finding a few things here that are irritating. I also noticed the massive code bloat in new versions - this one is 4 time sbuigger than the old version. WOW. You guys must be using some big libraries now and in my opinion the beauty (security???) and simplicity of the old versions was much to be...

  • Crash - phpMyAdmin with 0.9.5-svn210-beta2

Hello, I've been getting these errors since upgrading to 0.9.5-svn210-beta2. It is pretty consistent. On perhaps 1 of 3 or 4 attempts to load the tables page Apache will reset and stop running. When I check the error.log I get: [3632] EACCELERATOR: PHP crashed on opline 28 of PMA_displayTableHeaders() at C:\Documents and...

  • Followup: RE: Status of PHP tag encoding by 2.0FC-Editor

Hello, I don't have a definitive answer for you but I have experimented a little for my own use on a similar theme. I use the editor for creating templates and have some variables inserted that are not html. I found that the editor stripped everything that it didn't like and not correct html. This was very irritating to me and seems like something that definately should be configurable. Not...

  • Followup: POpup bug, serious, happens in given samples

Hello, I just did some follow up testing and there is the same or similar problem even with the basic sample code provided in the archive. I zipped to a test directory and opened the _samples_default.html page into a browser. Works fine, then hit Ctrl-N to spawn a new window of this one. Now go there and it works fine too. Now close that window and go back to original window. Boom. Seems...
