But I did the following.
$ op -d 16F877A -s read.hex
create the 'read.hex' file and that I can add to the project.
In the ProjectManager right click on the
Project name / Add Source files... /
Filter set to HEX File (*.hex)
and select the read.hex file to open.
The HEX file appeares in the ProjectManager and one can to open it in Piklab buffer.

OK,
I make here a mistake, sorry.
I can now use Piklab on Debian GNU/Linux Lenny installed from debian package.
Moreover, I'm using the OpenProgrammer hardware

and software for GNU/Linux systems: the 'op' commandline tool with Piklab. When I get the .asm file in my project, then I build it, and in Piklab's Konsole I run 'op' so I can program...

Hi,
I have tried the deb package of Piklab, then tarball: piklab-0.15.7.tar.bz2 but both have many bugs. :(
Are there any sources of Piklab that I can to install on my Debian stable so I can use it for programming and debugging (with GPSim) PIC16F877A?
Any advices will be appreciated!

In Piklab I create a new Project.
For that Project I try to add a file.hex:
menu / Project / Add source file
and choose a file.hex
Then I get 11 SIGSEGV error and Piklab crash..

On Debian GNU/Linux Lenny I have installed Piklab 0.15.2 (KDE 3.5.10).
When I want to setup my Custom Programmer at:
menu> Settings> Setup Piklab> Programmer Selection
setup and when want to save the configuration the Piklab hang and can't to use it anymore.
I must to kill it, and after that kill again in 'htop' so after that I can run Piklab again.
