User would like to parse the output with another tool. They
would like one method for both mpasm and gpasm. The error
file is the easiest way to accomplish it.

Forget that. There is no databank on the 676 that is where
the error is coming from. Add a -r to gplink to work around
the problem.

Just ran a test case and it works for me. Not using SDCC,
but linking. This is likely an SDCC bug. If you disagree
attach the linker script and main.asm.
