with --enable-debug, the SEGV occurs just after the mallocs
in mmus2mid.c, so presumably it's when the SDL starts the music.

I see the same - it crashes (unless run with -nosound) on
OpenBSD on 2.4.4 and 2.4.6. (Tested only with --disable-gl
on OpenBSD 3.9 i386.)

No, it is prbmsav. Except in demo playback, where any saves
are called demosav to avoid overwriting the user's savegames.

the list of paths to search, and added freedoom.wad to the
iwad list.
