Just found this and tried the archive list URL and get:
503 - service not available
[That seems to indicate that there might be a server there,
but that it is not up. Hopefully, that will change.\!?!?]
Sure would be nice if someone from the ndiswrapper project
could post to say that this problem is known, being worked on,
on will someday be back online. Right now, it APPEARS that...

It's been well over a week, since the website move.
[I know it's not your fault, but the management of the move has been very sloppy.]
There are now numerous links that just hang, that start with 'joomla', from
important sites, such as:
http://linux-wless.passys.nl/
My most-important link now makes ndiswrapper HARD to research:
http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/joomla/index.php?/com.

I betting that you (lke me) did NOT 'RTFM' first.
[RTFM = Read The F***ing Manual]

Too bad I was too lazy to read the manuals before posting.
[I would have then known that sub-titles are apparently not supported in v1.5.1.].

I'm running DVDStyler v1.4 (on Linux (MEPIS, which is a Debian-based distro)).
Overall, DVDStyler works great...nice program!
I'm capturing content (movie) via a set-top cable box, here in the US,
and the two movies I've captured both have captions that can enabled
at the bottom of the screen (so I now that caption-info is present in
the input source).
When I pass the captured conten.

[I do NOT need 'something to download' to discuss. So, here goes:)
Can someone explain why the target phone is GSM? Here in the US, that
would translate into requiring me to have a contract with Cingular, right?
But, I (happen to) have a contract with a CDMA carrier (e.g. Verizon).
Please educate me. Is GSM more 'open' than CDMA (or whatever other cellphone
tower technology...insert.

Hi -
I downloaded source-kit libedit-0.3 (newest) onto Linux. The
'./configure' step runs cleanly. But when doing 'make',
it halted with 'termcap.h' missing.
This is just a 'heads-up' (for someone to tweak a check into 'configure').
A google for termcap.h helped me find the solution...installing
'libncurses5-dev' solves it.
Cheers...
Dave.

The described behavior happens for both of the TWO separate devices I own, namely:
Siemens Speedstream 802.11b 1022 USB Prism2/2.5/3
Proxim 802.11b USB Prism2/2/5/3
Both are 'b-only' USB devices and both are based on Prism2 chipset.

No, it does not fix it.
Clearly my problem is that I haven't been able to
get you to perceive the problem. Yet, I'm totally
convinced that the problem is there. So, I'll keep
trying.
It's this simple. Take any working NDISWRAPPER installtion.
Setup it up (using iwconfig...i.e. wireless-tools code, written
by Jean.

But, yes, of course it can (SHOULD). Or do you mean that
'ndiswrapper' suffers from some limitation that is not true
of normal native Linux drivers?
No, I am NOT saying that it doesn't associate. It associates
just fine. What I'm saying (and what Jean Tourrhilles, who
wrote the code for wireless-tools is sayin.
