I've always wished that the multimedia keys (or other special hardware buttons) could be used to switch desktops. Lots of keyboards have them, hardly anyone uses them for their intended purpose, and it would give a one-keypress way to switch desktops.
You can't get better than that (short of putting wires into your brain).

Yep, I guess the Remote Desktop client gobbles anything it sees as a system key combo, uses any that it supports (excluding things like WIN-n that are commonly used as VW desktop switching hotkeys) and silently swallows the rest.
I guess it isn't using standard systemwide key hooking procedures, or other apps like VW would still get a look in.
I really hope the VW developers are knowledge.

I use several virtual desktops for remote desktops to other machines.
The problem is that virtualwin hotkeys dont work if the currently visible remote desktop is full screen (which of course they are) and isnt set to ignore special key combnations (which they arent - that makes them too hard to use).
Is there any way that virtuawin could trap and handle its hotkeys before other software,

Where is the source code?.

This is supposed to be an open source project site. There is no source code released or in CVS. It smells rather like a gimmick to me.
So publish the source code and let us see!

I'd like to suggest a feature. It comes from this experience:
I have FireFox running in one desktop, but whenever I click on a link in another (say in an email) Firefox will appear in the current desktop. That means I have to keep sending it back again, once I've seen the link.
I would be much nicer to have the current desktop changed instead. ie, when I click on a link (and the browser is...

Solved it - it seems MPC needs utf-8 files to start with the three-byte BOM ("Byte Order Mark") sequence to indicate that the file is utf-8, which apparently is pretty common. It would be nice if this was prominently documented somewhere! :-)

Amazingly, MPC doesnt seem to support M3U playlists being encoded in utf-8, just the standard Windows codepage (latin-1, also called cp1252 or windows-1252).
Anyone know if this is a known limitation?
It's causing me grief as I can't produce playlists for some of my audio files which have characters that need utf-8 to be encoded properly.
Thanks!

An option to create container files on an NTFS volume
as NTFS sparse files, so they automagically grow in
size as data is written to them (up to a specified
maximum size) and you dont have to make them as big as
you might ever need when you create them.
I suppose this would also have to enforce quick
formatting, to stop the initial formatting making the
(sparse) container file...

My suggestion is to be able to migrate container
files/partitions from..erm..any well known commercial
OTFE product which shares some common heritage with TC. ;-)
Its a complete pain to have to copy gigabytes of
encrypted data between products when becoming a TC user.
