Right-clicking on a highlighted word while spell checking on-the-fly is on turns out to be really slow.
But spell checking runs fine and fast, just right clicking that takes a while to show the menu.
I'm using a custom portuguese (Brazil) dictonary which can be downloaded here: http://www.broffice.org/files/Vero_pt_BR_V204AOC.oxt.
