  • Comment: Windows line endings cause problems

    Perhaps I should clarify: .w files with Windows line endings caused errors when I compiled nuweb on OS X. I have never tried nuweb on Windows, and I do not know if nuweb compiled for Windows would have errors with a file with Windows line endings.

  • Windows line endings cause problems

    When I save my .w file with Windows line endings (CR LF pairs), it keeps nuweb from correctly getting the names of macros (lots of "never defined" and "never referenced" errors). When I save it with Unix line endings (LF only), everything works fine.

  • Improve OS X icon

    The current icon is okay, but IMHO it's not as pretty as the one we had previously. I think the previous icon was derived from this .svg: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/45/The_GIMP_icon_-_gnome.svg.

    The whole matter is a matter of opinion, really. Here's mine: I actually like the newest icons. They look much better than the squiggly-line icons that were in use previously - they were really creative, but they weren't familiar (and therefore not intuitive).     If you don't replace the default icons, it would be nice to "sponsor" a few alternate sets. For example, Smultron would come with the icons it comes with now, but users would be able to download, for example, a 1.2.7-style icon patch from the Smultron website.
