This patch adds --form and --passwordform support.
They are patches against pythondialog-2.7. for dialog.py and demo.py.
I hope these changes can be incorporated into the trunk (modifications probable).

Ubuntu doesn't define the hostname variable - this causes shython to crash.
fix: it could run the hostname command, if it couldn't find the hostname variable.

iii) the path specified in the configuration file for the log only works if your log path has no capital letters. I believe the parameter is being 'downcased' before it is used.

There are two problems with compiling and running 2.9.8.5
i) transparent 1x1 gif doesn't open because the call to open the file is broken.
ii) it doesn't compile on slackware 7, and perhaps other distributions due to the use of unsupported c++ syntax and methods.
