Filer uses shortstrings, thus any length up to 255 characters is save. Higher values just decrease the
number of key values per block and thus increase
the number of disk read operations and the memory needed for the internal buffers. The given
value of 30 is choosen for real mode DOS programs.

TurboPower doesn't sell them any longer, but
hasn't return the rights to the original programmer
yet. Thus at the moment the only way to get
the ODBC driver is to find a second hand copy.

Keynote is not compatible with CLX and Linux. The
reason is the choice of the RTF control as base editor.
QT uses a HTML subset for formated output. The RichEdit
control links KeyNote to Windows.

rubicon is dependent on the systools bit array,
which is therefore part of the precompiled runtime
package. There are alternative packages for rubicon users having systools also.

The server is a Win32 executable. Thus it can
not be run on native Netware or native Linux.
There are reports that the server can run in a
WINE environment on Linux.

That's WAD. The Batch operations only work with
the record buffer itself. For BLOB fields the record
buffer only contains a pointer, which is only valid
inside the table.
If you have to copy BLOB fields, you have to copy record by record.

you have to activate live datasets. otherwise the
explorer opens all tables as readonly
