After a long multi-year break from this project, I would like to start cxompletely fresh. I would like all the files in cvs to be deleted and have this project use a new, empty subversion repository.
Thanks,
chad.

New packages for GNUMail and Pantomime are available. Just do an "apt-get update" and "apt-get upgrade"
Note that the SimplyGNUStep repository has moved.
So to keep up with releases, change "/etc/apt/sources.list" to:
deb ftp://simplygnustep.com/simplygnustep/ binary-i386/
deb-src ftp://simplygnustep.com/simplygnustep/ source/
and you're all set.

Also, the install scripts should have made it so that /System/Library/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh is executed when you login. It should have added this to /etc/profile.
That GNUstep.sh script must be run before GNUstep can be used. If you need to, you can run it your self by executing...

Sorry, I can;t say.
You can use the Debian install disc for now though:
http://people.debian.org/~manty/testing/netinst/i386/daily/
After you have installed this add the following to /etc/apt/sources:
deb http://simplygnustep.sourceforge.net/Packages/ binary-i386/
deb-src http://simplygnustep.sourceforge.net/Packages/ source/
Than run the following from the...

SimplyGNUstep is now Debian based.
Until we have our own install disc what you do is install a Debian "Sarge" distro.
You can (soon) get that disc image at http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/netinst/
The server is down right now though.
When the install is done, you need to manually set up the repository source to DL the packages.
I will gladly help you when you get to...
