the pdf file exhibits pdf font cache corruption after
20 pages or so are loaded in a row, starting from page
1. reloading the file gets rid of the problem so it is
a runtime corruption, not a file corruption.
file name is "coal.pdf".

I forgot to add that if the failing files are public and
distributable, and you have links to download them I would
appreciate if you posted them, for testing alternatives to
the Adobe CMAP files. TIA :)

Yes I'm aware of the problem. But due to obvious licensing
issues I can't just copy and paste the CMAP files from
acrobat reader :) The ones included in the font package are
"safe" in the sense that they are part of the GPL version of
Ghostscript and are rutinely included in Linux
distributions. Unfortunately they don't cover all the
possible charset ranges.

Bookr 0.7.1 is mostly a bug fix release. It fixes many of the problems with image heavy PDF files and adds support for CJK fonts in PDF documents.
- Added support for PDF files with Chinese, Japanese and Korean text.
- Added a memory usage counter.
- Added single line scroll for the analog pad in the text viewer.
