hello synace,
Thanks for the efforts. However, what is wrong with feeding qmhandle a regular expression that does just what you wanted?
Eg: ./qmHandle -H'^Received: .*(192\.168\.1\.1)'.

Hello Ivan.
Looks like I might need to do some sanity checking...or I could leave it as it is since it obviously makes you check your queue. :-)
On the feature request: Do you seriously want qmhandle to start up your qmail even if you may have a corrupt queue? I mean, if qmhandle detects qmail-send running, waits for it to stop, then does its thing but encounters activity in the queue...

qmhandle is behaving as designed. When it first runs in any DELETE mode, it will first build a list of emails in the queue. Then it goes through the list checking each email and if it finds that all of a sudden an email has gone missing (which implies that qmail-send may be running) it will immediately cease all operations and generate an error. That is why you have that question: Is qmail-send...

I walked through all the revisions of qmhandle in cvs to version 1.1.1 (back to revision 1.9 of the qmHandle file) and I cannot find that line of code that looks at svstat output. I was thinking about how to do that myself since that would be the only solution for those who run multiple queues under daemontools.

Issue #2: Yes. There is no standard for /service. Some people even have multiple qmail-send queues that are monitored by daemontools. I have yet to come up with a solution for that.
Issue #1: As you have reported the missing pidof problem in FreeBSD, I consider this invalid for 1.3.x does wait for qmail-send to exit and I have safety measures in case deletes are attempted while qmail-send is...
