First of all, thanks for such a great program! HfsE was able to read and extract files from a HD that OS X refuses to work with (it says "keys out of order").
I used HfsE (on Windows) to make a .dmg from that HD. When I try to mount that image in OS X (10.4), it says "no mountable filesystems." I've tried mounting with the Finder, Disk Utility, hdiutil in Terminal, and Carbon Copy Cloner.
