When I set my XML document to be encoding="utf-16", and while the encode setting in the format menu is UCS-2 Little Endian (changing to Big Endian doesn't work) the XML syntax checker complains that "Document labelled UTF-16 but has UTF-8 content". btw, shouldn't labelled be labeled ?.
