You need to be logged in with Admin rights before editconfig_gedcom.php will run. The line number reported in your log file extract does not match the location of the function call in the current version of editconfig_gedcom.php. You're clearly not running with the "SVN" version of PhpGedView.

If you're getting the "file name does not exist" message when the file is actually present in the main media directory, you need to check that the [u]identically named[/u] file is also present in the "thumbs" subdirectory, in an [u]identical subdirectory structure[/u]. PGV does not delete media files, unless you tell it to do so. Are the media files actually present in the directory? If so, there's something wrong with the file names. It's generally not a good idea to have spaces in file names. It's also not a good idea to use accented letters in file names. Stick to upper and lower case letters, numbers, and the hyphen and underscore.
