There is now a setting in the Options / General page that allow multiple instances. By default it is turned off.

Use the Views menu to enable the Debug View. This will display the GDB output. There you should be able to tell what GDB is doing (or not doing).

It seems that the SOCKS implementation in Cryptlib (the SSH library used by BVRDE) is not complete and simply brings up an ASSERT failure.
Will have to wait for the Cryptlib to mature.
