  • Automatically dim brightness

    In KPowersave settings, I can setup the brightness of the screen. I can also configure when the screen should be blanked etc. for energy saving reasons. What I miss is an option that after x seconds of no mouse/keyboard activity the screen is dimmed a bit, after y seconds it is more dimmed.     For completeness, it turned out that this was due to a patch by openSUSE which looked harmless but overwrote $LANG by truncating it to the first two letters. !locale gave the right result. Sorry for confusing distribution problems with vanilla problems!
