No, I've not investigated this, because in fact, I don't use the update document feature at all... I mainly publish mp3 files of conferences, and they never get updated :-)

Hello,
I often have to deal with large files (> 50Mo), which cannot be sent as a POST due to provider restriction on upload size.
I added a feature to import files from the local filesystem. Files are uploaded by any mean (ex: FTP) to the provider, then go to "Import document", the available files are listed, each with "name" and "comment" fields. The other fields are used for all imports.
