I did that. The first time I loaded AJAX Chat a popup appeared saying there was an IOError. Unfortunately I lost the copy/paste and I can't reproduce it anymore. It said something that seemed to indicate that something was not loaded entirely or correctly. I know this is not very helpful, but I really couldn't get that dialog to pop up again.
The local log policyfiles.txt doesn't show any...

Yes, I have read the other threads. The problem is, I can't really understand what is going on. I know that the ruby daemon gets a request, and I know that the flash daemon is working on port 843, but I don't know what is going wrong. Apparently it tries to load the flash, something wrong happens and it falls back to standard AJAX.
Can you tell me how to debug the system? Give me some hints...

I've installed ajax chat as a socket server, but I can't seem to get it to work. I've already installed the flash policy server at port 843, and it's working (tested with telnet). The configuration files seem to be fine, and the ruby server log shows that connections are made, but dropped just after:
