Hi,
There were no reports about any security issue in SiteBar that would lead to user rights escalation. The server only accepts uploaded files and puts them into database it does not exec any external commands. Its is rather standard PHP application. Did you really notice change of the IP or did it only stop working? I personally would not join those two incidents, but please keep us up to...

We are close to release 3.4 version, however, I still miss some free time to finish it.
The nightly tarball from http://sitebar.org/downloads.php contains a snapshot of the latest development and should be usable already.

Hi harp,
So you want basically the same behavior as IFRAME has, but embedded into your page?
Do you see some benefits from not running it as IFRAME on your environment. I'm just trying to understand your scenario.
If we wanted to reduce the whole page reloading, we would have to implement some kind of AJAX command execution (what would be nice for standard SiteBar too).
