This will probably take quite a while as I am busy with lots of other stuff and dont see when I could get into this.
But it would be an interesting project to work on.

I recently tried memaid(-pyqt) and found to be very a useful tool to aid me in my learning process. My material includes lots of formulas I am encountering some difficulties when creating questions and answers for memaid.
Because I know 'TeX (eTeX in my case) quite well, I would like to use it for that purpose. What could be done more elegantly is: Instead of creating the formula exernally and...

in short: The problem persists with a bochs version compiled
from cvs (head, checkout 20050306).
Notes:
Maybe You should add a comment to
http://vruppert.de/bochs/doc/user/compiling.html saying
"--enable-external-debugger" is only available on win32 - or
on a system with gdb make "--enable-external-debugger"
"--enable-gdb-stub" (?)

During an installation of Debian Woody r4 from the
official Debian dvd- image inside bochs the

time.
The installation succeeds until it attempts to install

I found the manual for that machine and can now tell a
little more about the thing:
Its a FIC-VA-502 using a VIA 580VPX chipset. Most of the
search results state that there are problems with via
chipsets but I didnt find anything for this particular one.

about the parrswood-mirrors: I cannot confirm wheter this is

mirror quite a lot of other stuff...

booting from the ipcop 1.3 iso fails when the kernel
tries to detect the partitions on the harddisk:
"partition check:
hda:"
and thats all I get.
The machine I tried to install ipcop on is a
amd-k6-166, with a via apollo (not sure) chipset. the
harddisk is an old quantum maveric ~540mb disk running
on pio mode3, dma does not work.
It does not matter wheter there acutally are...

As the savegame format is still changing, a utility to
convert savegames between different (cvs) versions of
freedroidRPG would be helpful, because starting all
over again with any new version of saveloadgame.c (for
example) is no fun.
