I ran into a similar problem with Moodle/MYSQL. My sysop-host installed Door in a different part of my domain. Moodle is "www.XXXXX.com" and Door is "Door.XXXXXX.com". They're on two different MYSQL data structures.
I don't recommend trying to re-engineer Door. It is a sophisticated application and the thought of changing anything about it gives me chills. But...
