Hi,
It's me again...
It's better, I create folder for my webcam1 and another for my webcam2.
When I run mp4live, I choose my folder (edit->preference) and the webcam.
Now I would like that webcam choice stay conserved....but how made ? We cam save it somewhere ?
I would like this because after I will run mp4live in command line....

To resume my situation : I have two webcams and I want to stream it thank's to mp4live and DSS.
My first question : is it possible (to use 2 webcams with mp4live) ?

Hi,
I will explain what I made....
1 - mp4live -f webcam1
2 - choose video0
3 - create new stream webcam1 with webcam1.sdp
4 - save it
5 - mp4live -f webcam2
6 - choose video1
7 - create new stream webcam2 with webcam2.sdp
8 - save it
When I run 2 proccess of mp4live (one for webcam1 and one for webcam2), in the video preview I see differents view so it's ok.
Nevertheless...

I work by himself but sometimes, questions are good...Moreover I know what say me but I try again and.... doesn't function....
mp4live -f webcam1 creates a file webcam1 :
It contains :
audioChannels=1
audioSampleRate=0
It's the same for webcam2, so to differenciate the two files, I had this line :
"videoDevice=/dev/video0" for webcam1 and...

Hi,
What do you understand by "You have to copy the config file that mp4live creates" and I search "mycnf" but don't found.
I use two differents profiles for streams. The problem is input, if I change video0 to video1, it changes for my two streams...

Hi,
I use DSS 5.5.5 and mp4live. I have two webcams installed on my ubuntu 8.10. I could stream with the two webcam independently but I would like to stream with both.
So I create two video streams but when I modify the video source, its changes for both....
How make ?
