  • Value Edit Precision Bug (Patch)

Hi, testing the patch I wrote to support configurable precision in securities prices (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2842869&group_id=173799&atid=866834) has revealed a bug in the EqonomizeValueEdit class. QDoubleSpinBox rounds values as they are set, according to whatever precision has previously been set. So in the init function (and a couple of other places), the precision...

Hi. This patch that I just uploaded may interest you: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2842869&group_id=173799&atid=866834.

  • Support configurable precision of security quotations

Hi. I've added support so that the user can change the number of decimal places of securities quotations, on a per-security basis. The default is the locale fracDigits setting, as in previous behaviour. With this patch, all quotations will be displayed with the configured number of decimal places for the security to which the quotation applies. Total values remain with the locale setting. The...

  • More elaborate budgetting capabilities

Hi. One thing that annoys me about most "budgeting" programs is how basic (if it exists at all) the future-planning capabilities of such programs are. At least Eqonomize has a basic monthly budget tracking capability, but I've found that a tad lacking. I posted a proposal for extending this functionality in the Open Discussion forums...

  • Comment: "New/Edit Expense" tab label is misapplied to other screens

I've added a patch that fixes this, at least for English. I can't help with translations, unfortunately.

  • A proposal to expand budgetting functionality

Hi, I've been using Eqonomize for a couple of months now. I really like it, but the budgeting system is disappointingly basic. I've been pondering how I would improve it, come up with what I think is a good idea, and I thought I had better gauge the opinion of the developers and others on my ideas before I tried diving into the code. At the moment Eqonomize allows you to allocate a monthly...

  • Word-wrap the merge output pane

Hi, KDiff3 is cool, but my use case means it can be a little irritating to use sometimes. At the moment I'm using it to merge changes to a TeX document that come from several authors. The documents are formatted such that there are quite long lines (they make up entire paragraphs) that usually have to be word-wrapped by the editor. The word-wrapped diff view is great, but the merge output...

  • "New/Edit Expense" tab label is misapplied to other screens

Hi, At the bottom of the Expense screen is a section for inputting new expenses, with two tabs: "New/Edit Expense" and "Filter". These two tabs also appear for the Incomes screen and the Transfers screen, with exactly the same names. This is a little confusing, since the names should instead probably be "New/Edit Income" and "New/Edit Transfer". Peace, Brendon.
