OK. Maybe it's a bug then or maybe I'm doing something wrong. But after setting the available formats with mpg123_format(), the number of channels is always set as stereo (since my audio hardware only seems to support stereo) even in a mono stream. You can see the output difference also when using the mpg123 command with and without verbose mode. So I'd like to see a mpg123_frameinfo.channels as...

It would be nice if there were a way to retrieve the original mpg123_frameinfo before any resampling. Something like mpg123_info_orig().
