It is useful only for sndh files as most of them unfortunately do not have proper duration filled. Almost all sc68 files are good with it. Anyway that is not a bad idea I'll think about it.
I did notice that too. Did you try with --sc68-ym-voltable=linear option ? I suspect a problem with the Atari-ST table or may be the 5bit per channel interpolation.
