I'm still having this problem and just now got the chance to post it to a public web site:
http://test.mediapanache.com/
It should display a valid server status a second or two after loading, but it fails to parse the JSON response. Please let me know if you can duplicate on your end. I am using Zend Framework to generate the JSON, so I need to know if it's a Zend problem or YUI issue...

Correction. I tried adding brackets around this response, and it still doesn't work. It must have worked in 2.5.0 to add the brackets, but I can't verify that. So, now I can't even figure out a way to get this to work at all.
Also, the JSON response is being generated by Zend Framework's Zend_JSON class. So, this isn't something I'm generating by hand at all. Thanks.

This is new as of YUI 2.5.0. The following JSON response fails to parse:
{"clipname":"Test","start":0,"end":0,"remaining":0}
This worked in 2.4.1, but does not work in 2.5.0 or 2.5.1. If I add [] around it, JSON.parse works, but of course, it's now an array.
