My toolbar starts corrupt showing the time to the right (which is usually on the left) and the rest is gray I can fix it by right clicking it unchecking visible then checking it then it is fine. I am running arch at the moment but I am pretty sure I had the same problem in ubuntu. I have attached a screenshot.
