  • Comment: Application launching in 1.32

Do you have the same behaviour when executing /usr/bin/xterm or /usr/bin/xedit? RB.

  • Comment: [1.32] Inconsistent display of permissions

Ho, no bug here. Check it by doing : ls -la / and you will see exactly the same permissions on /tmp as in Xfe. This is the Unix way of displaying the permissions on a directory when the sticky bit is active on a directory. So I close the bug... RB.

  • Comment: No scrolling in root mode

I have performed another test with a fresh install of Mandriva 2009 and the bug is not there anymore. I can scroll within Xfe in root mode, with the Xfe and Fox rpm packages I provide on http://roland65.free.fr/xfe So I close the bug, because it is clearly not an Xfe issue, but rather a Mandriva issue. RB.

  • Comment: xfe-1.32: make fails

Hi, no I don't have an idea of what the problem is. Some tests you can do : replace FXbool with int, replace FXchar with char. Rename the string variable to something else (str for example). Etc. Anyway, I close the bug as you propose. Thanks, RB.

  • Comment: xfe-1.32: make fails

Hi, your compiler is rather old (I am in Debian Lenny with gcc 4.3.2). It's evidently a syntax problem. Try to fix it by looking at the first line (470) and playing with the different syntax elements. Or, you could try to update your compiler or -- better -- your system. Unfortunately, I cannot test it with gcc 3.x because there is no g++ 3.x on my Debian system... If you find a solution...

  • Comment: FXDCWindow::drawIcon: illegal icon specified. Aborted

Hi, thanks for the bug report. Anyway, to solve this bug (since I don't see it on my system) I need the following informations : - your system name and version, which desktop you use (GNOME, KDE, XFCE, ...) - the Xfe version number - the FOX version number, compiled by yourself or provided by the system - a description of the action you do to obtain the crash (you drag a file in a file...

  • Comment: text editor vim+xterm

Hi, just use 'xterm -e vim' (without the quotes) as your default editor in Xfe and you will be able to edit files using vim. In this case, you should disable startup notification for xterm (because it doesn't support it) by right clicking on /usr/bin/xterm and checking the "Disable startup notification for this program" option. You can also use another terminal program, e.g. 'gnome-terminal -e...

  • Comment: No scrolling in root mode

Hi, the bug is still there in Mandriva 2009 with Xfe 1.32. I don't see this bug in Debian Lenny, Ubuntu Jaunty, Opensuse 11 and Fedora 10, 11. So, it is clearly Mandriva related. I'll try to investigate but it seems to be hard to find a solution. If anybody could help... RB.
