  • Followup: RE: Keyboard input trouble

Hi, thanks for the informations. I tested your key combination with Xfe 1.32.1 in two panels mode on Debian Lenny, and I still don't see the bug. I also tested with Fedora 11 and I don't see the bug too. Perhaps there is something on your system that interacts with Xfe. What language do you use? Do you use scim? Did you install something related to the keyboard management? Do you have an...

  • Followup: RE: Keyboard input trouble

Hi, I've tried with Xfe 1.32.1 on Debian Lenny but I wasn't able to reproduce the bug. Could you give me further details : - could you detail me a procedure where the bug happen (ex: select a file on the right panel, then press F9, then accept the dialog, then press Ctrl-A or something like this)? - does the bug happen each time? Or only sometimes? Thanks in advance, RB.

I close this bug because it's a Xubuntu configuration issue. Thanks, RB.

  • Comment: Chinese Input Character issue

Hi, yes, this has been solved in Xfe some time ago. You can display file names and user interface using a unicode chinese font. All you have to do in Xfe is to select a chinese unicode font in the Fonts tab of the Preference dialog and restart Xfe. I've done a test on Debian Lenny (see the attached picture) with the MS Arial Unicode font (obtained from Microsoft Office I think) and, as you...

  • Comment: Missing UI Legends

Hi, I tested Xfe with Xubuntu 9.10 (fresh install) and everything works well, there is no UI problem. I must say the XFCE desktop is very impressive and Xfe fits very well within it. I used FOX 1.6.36 (the deb package I provide on my website) and Xfe 1.32.1 (my deb package). I've seen no bug. To go further, I suggest you the following tests : - test with FOX and Xfe versions provided with...

  • Comment: window position after start is wrong

Hi, yes, there is a problem with window managers like Icewm, Openbox and probably others. However, the problem does not arise with Metacity for example. There is a workaround for now : in the General tab of the Preferences dialog, check the "Save window position" option. Restart Xfe and move its window (while pressing the Meta if the window border is hidden) to suit your needs. After that, the...

  • Comment: Missing UI Legends

Ok, I've seen your screenshot. I've tested Xfe 1.32 with Ubuntu 9.04 but not with the current 9.10. Perhaps it's a problem with this new version? Anyway, are you sure you installed Xfe 1.32 and not 1.04? Best regards, RB.

  • Comment: Missing UI Legends

Hi, I think the Xfe version you installed with Ubuntu 9.10 is 1.04, am I correct? If yes, this version is largely obsolete. You should instead download and install Xfe version 1.32.1. First, download and install the current FOX package : http://roland65.free.fr/xfe/data/libfox-1.6-0_1.6.36-1_i386.deb Then download the Xfe deb package ...
