I think the solution will work, but i was also wondering whether one can plug in a custom disk store implementation or,
Are there any ehcache events which are triggered before an object is flushed out of memory into a disk store.

I want to know if there is encryption support within ehcache for objects being cached in the file system. or is there anyway that i can call my encryption code when ehcache is trying to cache it in the file system...
i would be happy to know if there is a possibility.
