Comment: A Gesture for scrolling whole screen
CotVNC is not developed any longer. You should probably migrate to some our viewer. TigerVNC is my recommendation, although it doesn't support gestures at this point.

Comment: about banner opens unnecesary output dialog
The problem with "console terminal cluttered" will not be solved by using isatty(), since the console is a TTY. The problem with additional windows could be solved, but the problem is that some people might launch vncviewer as a subprocess but still want to include the about text in, say, a log file. We at Cendio do that, for example. So, I'm not positive to merging this patch as is...

Thanks for the patch. However, we are migrating to the new FLTK based vncviewer, so I'm not sure how useful it is to change the legacy viewer. It has been removed from trunk.

buildTime string is not translatable
The about dialog, as well as the command line output, includes a build time string such as: Built on Dec 19 2011 at 02:20:11 It is currently not possible to translate this string. In addition to translating just "Built on" and "at", it should also be possible to print the time/date in a localized way. This will require that we store the timestamp in some neutral format...
