FYI, I must say that it also works launching the downloaded .jnlp from the terminal in Linux (Ubuntu 9.10) at least with Java 6. Here is an example:
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/bin/javaws -J-Duser.language=ES /opt/OmegaT/OmegaT.jnlp
Anyway, I agree that for the average OmegaT user this could be not so important.
