  • User Account Removal: asamardzic

Could you please remove my user account ("asamardzic") from SourceForge? I had a project here (the project name is "tempo"), that I now re-located, so there is no need for me to have SourceForge account any more... Thanks, Alex asamardzic@gmail.com asamardzic@matf.bg.ac.yu.

  • Slackware package

Slackware package for mcpp (more precisely - SlackBuild, that is the script that could be used together with the mcpp source archive to build the propre Slackware package) is available at: http://slackbuilds.org/repository/12.1/development/mcpp/. Regards, Alex.

  • installing the documentation

Would it be possible to extend automake infrastructure in uncrustify to have the contents of "documentation" subdirectory properly installed on "make install" - the man page to go to $prefix/man/man1, the rest of it to $prefix/doc/uncrustify? It would help when creating packages... Thanks.

  • Followup: RE: mcpp building suggestion

Yep, you are right - after un-installing previously installed mcpp package, all went fine with regard to creating shared library symlinks. I noticed another minor issue, though: it is not possible to build mcpp, with --enable-mccplib flag set during configure phase, with make -j n where n > 1. Using -j flag of make is common these days, when most of us are running multi-core machines, but...

  • Followup: RE: mcpp building suggestion

As for Slackware - creating the package works fine, thanks for making changes! Could you possibly also add creating symlinks libmcpp.so.0 and libmcpp.so to libmcpp.so.0.2.0 to "make install" phase?.

I provided URL (http://www.zeroc.com/) to examine about Ice above; also seems that these guys provided you with significant number of patches in the meantime (including latest freopen()->fopen() patch posted here: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2011291&forum_id=565342), strange that you don't know that they're based on mcpp... I found pointers to Debian packages you...

  • Followup: RE: configure error when trying to build V.2.

Yes, seems that shell version is what is important after all. It's bash on Slackware 12.0, version 3.1.017.

  • Followup: RE: mcpp building suggestion

Hi mef, just noticed your comments over there at Ice forums when I was looking what's wrong after I hit same Ice issue as you did ("Assertion `_definitionContextStack.size() == 1' failed.") when trying to build Ice against stock mcpp 2.7. Will second these as soon as I get my Ice forums registration approved, but here would like too to somewhat extend my previous suggestion for mcpp...

  • mcpp building suggestion

I'm trying to create a distribution package for mcpp (for Slackware), and am working on this because mcpp is pre-requisite for Ice (http://www.zeroc.com/), where mcpp is needed as static library. However, I'd like to still make the package as general as possible, so I see no reason why it wouldn't be possible to build both stand-alone mcpp executable, and the libraries. Seems to me that this...

  • Followup: RE: configure error when trying to build V.2.

Sorry, without these commas in tr command invocations - don't know how I've put these there when I was copy-pasting what appears in mentioned lines of configure.ac... BTW, same change could be made directly in configure script, and again it works fine.
