Thank you for reporting this problem.
The reason why AVG lists the application as a virus is not yet known to me.
The files of this release have been tested with popular virus scanners (Kaspersky, Symantec, AVG, F-Secure, Avast, Panda, BitDefender to name a few).
None of them have listed any of the files as any kind of threat, except for the AVG.

Thank you for your comment. VDI already has this feature included in it since version 1.1. If you are using a version higher than 1.1 and you still see no change in the drive icons, please try refreshing or reopening the "My Computer" window. Since Windows does not automatically refreshes this window by default, you might not be able to see the changes immediately.

Dear user,
This application does not require an internet access. While it is running, it only monitors the disk drives connected to your computer and sets the appropriate icons for them.
If it seems that your internet is being used, it might be another application trying to access the internet at the same time that vdi is running.
