Since a couple of month I'm busy because of my Ph.D.; I do not have as time as I wish to develop latexdraw. Moreover I rewrite latexdraw too improve the future developement and the currents features. I will work on special feature, e.g. Feynman diagrams, after that.

Great job for the Archlinux package!
Your request is interesting indeed; I will think about it in order to see if there is no issue. The problem is the same for pdf pictures.
I have created a blueprint on launchpad for it:

No, it is not simple to import eps picture as raster or vectorial picture. ;)
What do you mean by "Just read the bounding box and include the file location' ?.

Which version of latexdraw do you use ?
The last version fixes some problems concerning dimensions.

To use latexdraw you need java 1.6.
Your problem may come from java 1.5
