The warmill doesn't produce sharp axes (but the ware encyclopaedia says it does). I noticed that in the configuration file 'produce_sharpaxe' isn't called.
P.S. I use widelands buid 11.

It would be nice if you could choose what buildings have to produce (if the building can produce different wares (e.g. the metalworks should produce an axe)).

When you upgrade a mine (I upgraded an iron mine) and you don't have only master miners (and no chief miners (I had one, but he was working in a coal mine)), the master miner doesn't come to the deep mine.
