  • Followup: RE: limitations of 0.9.3 and timing for 1.0

I have just started on a C++ project after woirking for a couple of years on java projects using eclipse. My C++ background is with Unix but this project is on Windoze using Visual Studio. I would like to use VS with eclipse and wascana looks to be just the job. Can we please have a status update on the main web page?.

  • depdot 0.4.0 released

Many thanks to Andrew Maclean, who reported a compilation problem on Debian. This means there is a new release of depdot. I also took the opportunity to make a few minor improvements. The documentation has been extended slightly with an example, and there is now an example screenshot. I also made the Linux deplib.pl script more portable. I found another bug there were it was assuming 32 bit...

  • secondstring and citeseerx

Hello, Many thanks for making secondstring available. I came across secondstring because I am trying to build citeseerx which refers to it. Citeseerx fails to compile and I think part of the reason is that the jar for secondstring is not included. But when I download it from here and try again I still get errors. Some of the imports of secondstring are wildcarded so I cannot see all the...

  • first release a bit rough around the edges

Many thanks for making this available, and under a liberal open source license too. My interest is to see if it can be used in DSpace to export citations for PDFs held there. Unfortunately I cannot build it yet. I think there are a few rough edges. First it looks like there is a dependency of secondstring, another sourceforge project. But the jar for secondstring is not included. When I...

  • IP-based authentication via dspace, cfg inhibits large ranges

Currently, IP authentication is done by adding the IP ranges for the various groups into the config file dspace.cfg. This is fine for small simple configurations but would be unmanagable for anything large. I am looking at using DSpace for a digital library where there would be many many cases of users coming in via IP authenticated routes. There would be thousands of individually configured...
