I have a Sharp Laptop which I believe is only available from Dixons/PCWorld
in the UK, and which seems to have some fairly new revisions of chipset
components, e.g. only later versions of Redhat 7.x (x=3!) seem to be able
to even boot properly.
Anyway, the laptop comes with an IEEE1394 interface which claims
(according to the output of lspci) to be based on an NEC OHCI...
