  • Comment: Versions 15.29 and 15.30 crash a lot

Tried with the demo and 15.31 this time, and I can't reproduce the crash anymore :-) (something's a bit weird in the demo with the drag&drop part: the text gets pasted in different places depending which string is dropped, in particular "Mvh" always wants to go to the end while "yours" has a tendency to always paste at the top unless the cursor has been repositionned before the D&D operation)

  • Comment: Versions 15.29 and 15.30 crash a lot

I've been getting similar crashes since updating to 15.30, in most case the system spirals down making it impossible to do anything else than reboot, so I hooked up the terminal on the serial port to watch the crashes and here it always happens in the SplitLine() function at offset 54EC: Symbol info: Instruction pointer 0x7F6A550C belongs to module "TextEditor.mcc" (PowerPC) Symbol...

  • Comment: Crash while entering text in reply

As it happened again in the same TE.mcc instruction I now filed a report (#2386639) against TE.

  • Crash in YAM while typing with v15.27

The crash I reported on 8/27/2008 in the YAM tracker ([ 2079784 ] Crash while entering text in reply) happened again today so I'm reporting it in the right place this time. Basically I reply to an email and while I'm typing the GR appears. I tried to click "Continue" 4 or 5 times but this time it didn't help. The crash happens in the same instruction as it did last time: UpdateChange()+0x380...

  • Crash while entering text in reply

YAM 2.5 OS4 PPC (21-Dec-07 (GCC 4.2.2)) crashed while I was typing a reply to an email, after 3-4 minutes of typing. I was able to resume my typing after saving the crashlog and clicking "Continue" in the GR.

  • Tar client doesn't check archive format

If you have files with long names and use tar --format=posix xad doesn't work correctly. Using UnArc on OS4, the filenames can be seen truncated after 100 chars (path incl.) and the content of the next item in the TarHeader struct, which is th_Mode, gets appended at the end, such as 0000664 So for example in the archive from http://downloads.sourceforge.net/openvrml/openvrml-0.17.2.tar.gz...

  • Comment: Message list (NList) not reacting to Ctrl+(any key)

I installed the new NList.mcc 20.119 and NListview.mcc 19.74 released today on aminet and now the ctrl alt up/down selection is working as intended. Likewise for the "Restore" and "Reset to Global" menus in the prefs.

  • Comment: Message list (NList) not reacting to Ctrl+(any key)

Did you try it with the OS4 version? Just to make sure, we're going about it the same way, here are the steps I follow to verify that it really doesn't work: 1) YAM: Menu -> Settings -> MUI 2) MUI: External -> NListviews -> Keys 3) NListviews: RMB Menu -> Reset to Global (no change as I'm already using the global settings) ("control alt down = Select to bottom" is in the list) 4) MUI...

  • Comment: Add "Abort" toolbar-button to stop filtering in progress

Actually I disabled it on purpose... I like the GUI clean and simple, the same way it was with 2.3p, so I don't use the status bar, preview pane, and search field. (see atachment) Besides, I already have the selected folder and unread/total messages info from the list on the left... An alternative would be to open a progress window with just the gauge gadget and "stop" button if A: the status...

  • Add "Abort" toolbar-button to stop filtering in progress

In some case it is desirable to abort filtering, like when a filter wasn't set right and starts moving 1000's of messages to another folder...
