We now have a fairly large database, with many similar/same first names. It would be easier to find the person being looked for if the "Select A Person" box displayed nopt only name and YOB, but also place of birth.
Can anyone tell me how to change the code so it will add place of birth, or is this even do-able?.

NEVER MIND. Went back and re-read the page, it's good for 5.5. So much for trusting my memory for what i briefly read a year ago.

I recently received a huge GedCom file (6K entries) that i would like to import, but it is in 5.5 format. If I recall correctly, phpmyfamily has been tested only with 5.2.
Has anyone tried importing a 5.5 file, and if so, did it import correctly?
Thanks!

I recently imported a gedcom 5.5 file, and found that a leading space was added to three fields during the import:
name
birth_place
narrative
The leading space causes the name sort in the "Select Person" to be out of order.
The leading spaces can be removed manually in phpmyadmin quicker than through the program edit feature, but it is a time-consuming task.
Thanks for the great...

Resolved, was a permissions issue.
