In IE8, the problem is simply that expressions on their own lines get aligned left inside of centered in their container (in my case just the body). I can try to do a bit more testing soon and let you know the exact details of the issue (i.e. if it happens for all sorts of expressions).

Note that everything displays correctly for me in FF 3, IE 8 (except for alignment), and Safari 4.0. (Haven't tested on any others.)

Using a TeX (TTF) font and rendering in IE7, expressions such as the following are rendered incorrectly:
$$\lim_{x \to \infty} \exp(-x) = 0$$
Layout is done correctly and all text is displayed except for 'lim', which does not appear. Interestingly, expressions such as:
$$\lim_{x} \exp(-x) = 0$$
do however render correctly.

Yeah, I did come across that during my searching, but it seemed that DirectShow.NET would still do what I needed and is more stable/complete. I will however investigate it further, since you've recommended it. Thanks.

I am trying to create a program that reads an audio ASF stream from online and plays back the sound in real-time. However, it seems the samples don't include anything related to this, though the DirectShow(.NET) libraries do appear to support such functionality (the existence of the WMAsfReader class, for example).
