The submissions tracker is for package *descriptions*, i.e. fink's .info and .patch files, that are ready to be tested.
This is a request to add an absent feature which doesn't include those. I'm moving it to the package requests tracker. It might also be worth sending a message to fink-devel@lists.sourceforge.net to ask about the update.

We need way more discussion about this even to admit it to Fink, much less add it to stable. A Fink package should first and foremost conform to our policies, and I don't think we're quite there.

A version of this package is already present in the Fink distribution AND has a listed maintainer. You should contact the maintainer directly via the email address shown via "fink info " to discuss updating, as that person is in charge of submitting (or at least approving others' submissions of) updates.
If you don't hear from the maintainer within a reasonable timeframe, then...
