For Windows I would suggest the following:
sswf-1.8.4-win32-i686.exe
It will install everything including the source code.

Hi there,
SSWF does not yet support FLVs.
This being said, what you are asking is possible to do. However, in most cases, it is more efficient to have the player separate (i.e. that way you have just one.)
