    1.1 version of the Office plugin supports OOXML office formats: http://sourceforge.net/projects/scan/files/SCAN%20MS-Office%20plugin/1.1/scan-msoffice-plugin-1.1.zip/download Remove existing "scan-msoffice-plugin-**" folder before unpacking the archive into "plugins". There should be no problem with indexing files from network shares.

    On Windows 7(Vista), plugins management may not work as expected, due to additional filesystem security (file permissions) introduced in those versions. Yes, manual install is the workaround.

    Please check the errors and warnings in SCAN console window (small button in bottom right corner of the screen). Perhaps it contains some clues why your files are not indexed. Further, checking the log output may help to identify the problem. To be able to see that, run "scan.bat" in the system DOS shell.
