Hmm, I tried that and it just hangs when I try to connect. Maybe we are set up to use a http proxy rather than socks... I guess I'll have to find some mud client that runs on the web, or something.

Actually, I think I lied. The configuration is actually that we have a machine that acts as our proxy server. So in my browser settings I need to use "proxymachine:7070" as the http/ftp/etc proxy server. Sorry for the confusion...

I'm not familiar with socks proxies, so I may be completely off-track with this. Here's what I'm *hoping* will happen. :) I'm behind a firewall that requires all outgoing traffic to travel over a certain port (say 7070). I'm trying to find a client that can somehow use port 7070 to send data out, but still somehow communicate with port 4000 on my MUD server.
Is this even remotely possible?.
