airTODO can work not only with local, but also with remote repositories.
For second case you need to run airTODO server (http://airtodo.sourceforge.net/start.html#installing_server) and create remote account as seen on this picture: http://airtodo.sourceforge.net/img/screenshots/screenshot03.png
