Whilst meleeing an orc wizard in a corridor, I got the following messages:
You hit the orc wizard.
The orc wizard is severely wounded.
The orc wizard gestures wildly.
You block the ****.
The orc wizard hits you with an orcish club.
The block message appears to have some kind of issue.

Isn't that a bit unintuitive? I never would have guessed that could be the reason for the colour change (though after some observations in the Ecumenical Temple, I now see). Also, isn't it a bit of a cheat/spoiler? How can my character see that there is an altar at the back of a horde of monsters, let alone which god the altar is aligned with?.

The number of...

When poisoned and butchering a corpse with a mace wielded:
You stop butchering the corpse; not switching back to your mace.
You feel sick.
Switching back to a - a +0,+0 dwarven mace.
So first the game tells me that it won't switch back to my mace, then it does the complete opposite! I haven't noticed this before, so it may not be specific to trunk.

I can see how that would have a similar effect but I'm usually checking what I have, to decide what I can drop in a stash (inventory management). Similarly, I'd also like a selective drop view, so that I can just view items of a certain type for dropping (this is similar to 'D' in NetHack). Also, it isn't always wands, that was just an example.

I'd love to be able to only view certain types of item in the inventory, similar to what NetHack has bound to the 'I' key. It could prompt with a list of the different types of items in your inventory (scrolls, wands, potions etc.), and then you select which you want to view. For instance, I often find myself wanting to view all my wands, but if my inventory is long and the wand list overlaps...
