  • Comment: Indentation vs. bulleted lists

This is actually a bit more pervasive. Ify I'm writing an email and use *asterisks* to emphasize a word, and that word happens to be the first word on a line, then the next line automatically is prepended with a single asterisk.

  • Options for "options"

Somehow, when I press ^T it now just says "Option:" at the bottom instead of giving me a list of options. I have no idea what this means, or what it wants, but I want to hit 'x' to switch to rectangle mode but I can't. This is only a problem on some of my machines--but applies to all users on the machine, so it appears I've somehow set a global option, but I configured joe with a vanilla...

  • Comment: Indentation vs. bulleted lists

Clicked "add artifact" too soon, sorry. This problem actually crosses lines. If I correct line 2 after the linewrap mentioned above then keep typing, and linewrap again, Joe auto-fills the same asterisk-space on line 3 (even though line 2 does not have them, and is correct). This happens whether I correct line 2 to start with space-space or correct line 2 to not be indented. If i correct line 3...

  • Indentation vs. bulleted lists

I often want to make a bulleted list in joe, say in an email. To do this, I start a line with an asterisk, and then start to type. The problem is on linewraps--joe automatically adds another * as if it were an indentation character rather than a bullet, so it has an asterisk in front of it. Auto-indent is off, so I'm not sure what Joe is trying to do here. The desired behavior would be either...

  • Comment: Syntax highlighting bug? pine / mail.jsf

Thanks, Tom. This workaround makes 3.7 usable for my mail editing client again. OK to close this bug if the new mail.jsf is working as intended, though it does look _so bad_ to me that I'm not convinced the changes were intentional...so it might still be a bug.

  • Comment: "No block" on file insert in rectangle mode

This still produces very unintuitive behavior. Specifically, it means that if I have the screen split with ^KO, and am in the top screen, while there's some rectangle-mode text selected in the bottom screen, and I insert a file, it appears in the bottom screen, and not in the top screen. I was lucky today--if the "bottom screen" was not displayed, I would have no idea why the file I was trying...

  • Comment: Mail would be better word-wrapped at 70 columns.

It seems to me that this is best handled in the mail.jsf syntax file, so that a default linewrap could be specified. However, I cannot find any guide for writing syntax files, and so I can't guess if there's an easy way to specify this. I, too, would like a 70-char width default for email.

  • Comment: Buggy indentation

Closing bug; this is the same problem as http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2385560&group_id=23475&atid=378598.

  • Comment: multi-line division breaks perl syntax highlights

Bug still present in Joe 3.7.
