"-u UID" option should gain the supplementary group
memberships of the specified user. This is required to
be able to configure sane permissions of /proc
filesystem (such permissions are frequently used to
implement "restricted /proc access").
As ALT Linux (http://www.altlinux.org/) Team
participant I made "quick-and-dirty" patch (see
attached one) to add above functionality to net-snmp.
